Rio Olympic Games 2016 offered fresh challenges for Gallowglass Health and Safety when securing a contract with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The scope of works were not different from what has been carried out in previous major games situations. Gallowglass Health and Safety were engaged to offer event specific experience to the Rio 2016 safety team. Policies and procedures were audited and daily reports, including suggested action plans and improvements issued to the Rio 2016 team.
Internal training was undertaken with the Rio 2016 safety advisors and venue management teams to ensure they understood their roles and responsibility during all phases of the games.
