When planning an event of any size - from a large scale public gathering to a private function, Gallowglass Health & Safety can assist producers and production managers to ensure that the event is run as safely as possible. Good safety management will not only keep you on the right side of the law, but save time and money in the long run by ensuring health and safety is considered from the early planning stages of an event.

As well as offering Safety Advisors and Consultants, Gallowglass Health & Safety can supply Site Managers for the build and de-rig of an event. All our Site Managers have a great deal of experience and many have had responsibilities for managing the delivery of infrastructure for a number of large scale sporting events.

At all large scale events it is imperative that a comprehensive crowd management plan is in place. Gallowglass Health & Safety will ensure you have a relevant and suitable plan in place to ensure the safety of spectators, members of the public, visitors and guests.

For many projects it is essential that the correct type of licence is held for the duration of the event. Under UK legislation the following licensing objectives are:

  • The prevention of crime and disorder
  • Public safety
  • The prevention of public nuisance
  • The protection of children from harm
  • Protecting and improving public health (Scotland only)

These licensing objectives are of equal importance and must be followed at all times. Gallowglass Health & Safety can provide you with all the advice and support needed when submitting a licence application.

Gallowglass Health & Safety specialise in assisting in the safe delivery of an event. Involvement in the design stages of a project can ensure that safety considerations are taken into account at an early stage and ‘designed’ out.

As well as providing assistance during the design stage, Gallowglass Health & Safety will be on hand throughout the planning phase.

We will develop an Event Safety Management Plan specific to your event and provide an onsite advisor to ensure compliance with all agreed arrangements from all contractors and suppliers.

Since 2015 the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations have applied to the Live Events sector within the UK.

CDM2015 is not about creating unnecessary bureaucracy, the aim is for construction health and safety considerations to be treated as a normal part of an event/productions management and development.

We aim to ensure work is effectively planned, the right people and organisations are appointed and ensure everybody has the information, instruction, training and supervision they need to carry out their job safely and without damaging health. 

Site layout and design is a major consideration when developing your event infrastructure, especially when the event takes place on a Greenfield site.

Through the correct placement of facilities and infrastructure, a large number of safety concerns can be designed out at an early stage.

Our services include CAD design and drawing as well as 3d modelling.
